THE EVO VII MAY HAVE THE SAME POWERPLANT WITH THE EVO VI BUT IT HAS MORE
SPEED AND TORQUE, THANKS TO BETTER AERODYNAMICS AND THE CONTINUOUS
ENGINE TWEAKING OF OUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD JAPANESE ENGINEERS. THAT
GOES TO SHOW YOU THE TRUE GENIUS OF THE JAPS, AN OLD ENGINE + NEW AERO-
DYNAMIC FRONT AND WING DESIGN + TORQUE ADJUSTMENTS = A RELIABLE AND FAST
RALLY CAR.

EXCEPT FOR THE FITTED RECARO SEATS, THE LANCER'S INTERIOR AND COCKPIT
DESIGN MAY BE CALLED SOMEWHAT "HOHUMM…" BORING. IT MAY SCORE POINTS WITH
THE ORANGE LIGHTED SPEEDO, BUT HAVE YOU EVER SEEN SO MANY PLASTIC COMPONENTS
IN YOUR LIFE STUFFED INSIDE A CAR? DOES CREATIVITY STILL EXIST IN THIS WORLD?

ALL-IN-ALL, THE LANCER IS STILL A CAR TO BEHOLD, TOO BAD MITSUBISHI DOES NOT
MAKE TWO-DOOR MODELS OF THE EVO JUST LIKE ITS RIVAL (THE SUBARU IMPREZA WRX),
BUT MAYBE THE LANCER EVO VII IS REALLY MADE FOR THE FAMILY MAN WHOSE IDEA OF
FUN IS THE SUNDAY FAMILY DRIVE… TO THE RACETRACK.
